The Small Business Administration (SBA) Rhode Island District Office is bringing its services to the Warwick area. The office will host a series of free seminars for small businesses at the West Warwick Public Library.

The series begins on October 19 with “Is Entrepreneurship For You?” This workshop will go over the various entailments of starting one’s own business and will help those who attend to discover if entrepreneurship is indeed for them.

“Basic Business Planning” will be held on October 26. This will explain the planning skills needed to run a successful business.

On November 9, “How to Get Financing for Your Small Business” will allow attendees to join a panel of experts to discuss financing options, what lenders search for, credit requirements and relationships with financial institutions.

The last workshop will be held on November 16. “Understanding Your Business Financial Statements” will teach attendees how to read and understand financial statements. Business owners will learn how to evaluate their company’s financial health by knowing how to analyze balance sheets, income and cash flow statements.

The free workshops all will be held at the West Warwick Public Library Nash Community Room at 1043 Main Street. Each takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. on their respective nights. Those interested in registering can call 828-3750 ext. 12 or email tom@wwlibrary.org.
