Sacristan Prefect

After declaring their intentions and participating in the official Prefect Town Hall, the 2014-15 South Kent School prefects have been chosen. Among the group of candidates is Matthew Creamer of Warwick who was chosen as Sacristan Prefect for the Class of 2015 in the 2014-15 academic year. Head of School Andrew Vadnais received the results from an electronic vote, and with consideration of the student and faculty ballot, made the final decision, which was announced to the school in a Prefect Tapping Ceremony on Friday, May 16. As Sacristan Prefect, Creamer will work closely with School Chaplain Father Stephen Klots and is charged with encouraging the spiritual life on campus. The Sacristan is not selected like the others in a vote, but is chosen in advance. Creamer has had a positive presence on campus and is known to participate in chapel services regularly. “I’m honored and excited for next year,” Creamer said. “It’s a big part of the tradition here.”
