(Love story with a twist)

A rich sheik (Amr Waked) has a dream of bringing salmon fishing to the Yemen desert. He enlists the doubting British fisheries expert (Ewan McGregor), who reluctantly teams up with the sheik's assistant (Emily Blunt) to make the impossible happen.

Alfred is unhappily married and appears to have a hint of Asberger’s, which limits his emotions, in sharp contrast to the perkiness of Harriet. The $50 million dollar project is but a drop in the bucket (pun) to the sheik, who teaches Alfred the power of faith and hope.

It is an interesting premise, padded by an unusual story between Alfred and Harriet and complicated by the missing in action of her boyfriend. Joyce, the romantic, loved the love story, while I was more interested in the salmon fishing. All in all, it is a pleasant little movie.

Rated PG-13 and of little interest to children.
