Former Warwick Vets football standout Nicholas Salois is getting it done on the gridiron and in the classroom at Bridgewater State University.
Salois was recently named team captain for the upcoming season as a senior by the Bridgewater State coaching staff for the tremendous play and leadership that he displayed in his first three seasons in a Bears’ uniform.
In 2014, Salois served as defensive captain and earned Second Team All-Conference honors at middle linebacker.
Additionally, he was selected as the team’s Most Valuable Defensive Player, as Salois compiled 87 tackles and two interceptions for the season.
His accolades in the classroom have been equally impressive.
Salois was named to the Dean’s List for earning a grade point average of 3.30 or higher in the 2014 Fall and 2015 Spring Semesters. He was named to the conference All-Academic Team in each of his three seasons, as well.
Salois, who was also a two-time state wrestling champion at Vets, is a member of the class of 2016 at Bridgewater State. He is studying criminal justice.
