Samuel E. Robinson, 81, of Tremont Street, a retired machine operator and mechanic, died December 11, 2011 at home. He was the husband of the late Dolores M. (Holden) Robinson.

He was a son of the late Frank and Salome (Johnson) Robinson. Mr. Robinson was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe and American Legion.

He was the beloved father of Samuel E. Robinson Jr., Mary E. White, Susan M. Clark and her husband, Guy, and Richard A. Robinson; loving grandfather of William IV and his wife, Ashley, Stephen, Cedric, Owen and Kevin; and loving great-grandfather of Olivia. He was the brother of Frank Robinson and the late John, Charles and Joseph Johnson, William Robinson and Mary Robinson.

His funeral service will be held Dec. 17 at 10 a.m. in Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial with military honors will be in Elmgrove Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours are Dec. 16 from 4-8 p.m. For information and condolences visit www.thequinnfuneralhome.com.
