Saving the buns

Aldrich Junior High was overrun with bunnies on Thursday afternoon, when the art teachers held the fundraising event “Save The Buns.” Seventh- and eighth-graders were invited to donate $5 to stay after school and create bunny-themed art projects; the event raised $250 to be donated to the Sweet Binks Rabbit Rescue in Foster, R.I., a rescue that provides housing for rabbits waiting to be adopted. Art teacher Jana DeSimone said the event was a big success and the art room was packed with students. Above, a group of seventh-graders proudly shows off their completed projects, many featuring 3D bunnies they created.
