Scenes from the Gauthier Festival

The seventh annual Andrew J. Gauthier Festival went off without a hitch on Sunday at Thayer Arena, as teams from Warwick and beyond descended on the city for a day of hockey and remembrance.

Prout and Barrington kicked off the festivities with a game at 11 a.m., followed by a men’s alumni game and the first Chuck-A-Puck of the day. After that it was the Warwick girls’ hockey team against Massachusetts’ power Arlington Catholic.

Later in the day, there was another Chuck-A-Puck contest and a ceremony honoring Andrew’s life. Toll Gate then took on Narragansett – where the fell 8-0 – before North Kingstown and PCD squared off. Pilgrim and Vets closed the day out with the final game. Above, players from the alumni game pose together.
