The Warwick Sewer Authority (WSA) awarded $2,000 scholarships to four Warwick high school graduates from Pilgrim and Toll Gate during a ceremony held at the facility last week. The scholarships have been awarded annually since 2003 in honor of the late John A. Caruso, a longtime chairman of the WSA board. The ceremony concluded with a high water marker donated by the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration commemorating the 2010 flood. Posing with Mayor Scott Avedisian, Ward 8 Councilman Raymond Gallucci and Warwick School Superintendent Peter Horoschak are Kyle Fitzsimmons from Pilgrim and Jenna Mathis and Samantha Collins from Toll Gate. Not pictured is Amanda Smith from Pilgrim.
