This Memorial Day, Christopher Bianco, of Troop 1 Conimicut, with the cooperation of Father Robert Marciano, pastor of St Kevin Church, and the help and guidance of Ron Rainone of Rainone Landscaping, completed his Eagle Project by giving the front of St. Kevin School a much needed facelift. The project was completed with the help of more than 20 people from Christopher’s troop as well as some close friends. Expert support was provided by Rainone Landscaping. Christopher thanked everyone involved for giving up their Memorial Day morning to help in the effort. Christopher graduated from St Kevin School in 2010 at the top of his class and wanted to give back to the school that helped him to earn a full academic scholarship to Bishop Hendricken High School. Christopher has served as his troop’s assistant senior patrol leader for one year and the senior patrol leader for two years and is now the troop guide. Christopher has donated two weeks of his summer for the past several years to volunteer at Camp Champlin’s Cub Scout summer camp and will be working there full-time starting this summer. Christopher hopes to now apply to receive the rank of Eagle, which has been a goal of his since entering the Cub Scout program in 2002.
