Scouts to the rescue

Saturday morning, several scouts, their siblings and their parents participated in the International Coastal Cleanup Day at Oakland Beach, hosted by KeepRIClean.org. Not only did they have some fun cleaning up the community, but members of Pack 1 Warwick and Pack 383 Oakland Beach were able to help out a seagull, as well. This bird had fishing line tangled around its leg and was struggling to free itself. Scout leaders were able to capture the bird, remove the fishing line and release it unharmed.
