Posted

Goodwill Industries will celebrate the 150th Anniversary of helping improve the lives of Rhode Island’s most vulnerable citizens with “A Night of Stars” Gala at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown on Saturday, Nov. 9.

Senator Jack Reed will be honored as Community Champion for his contributions to Rhode Island and its citizens. At the “Night of Stars” Gala, Goodwill Industries will also honor clients who have triumphed, overcoming the odds to get back on their feet, with the help of individualized assessment, training programs and employment model. Also recognized that evening will be several Rhode Island businesses that have partnered with Goodwill graduates to help them turn on the “Power of Work” through work experiences, employment, or financial support.

Goodwill Industries of Rhode Island is one of the oldest vocational rehabilitation facilities in the nation, with roots dating back to 1863. Since then, Goodwill has developed a wide range of vocational and rehabilitative programs to meet the needs of its clients. Additional information is available at www.goodwill ri.org.
