Scouts from Troop 4 Gaspee, accompanied by assistant scout master Nicholas Carcieri, led the City Council in the Pledge of Allegiance at their March 9 meeting. Their participation was part of citizenship in the community badge. After more than an hour of following council proceedings, the boys were asked to each pick a topic of interest from the meeting and express their opinion.
