The 10-year anniversary of the September 11 attacks is less than a week away, but the memory of that day in 2001 is still very fresh in people’s minds.
To commemorate those lost in the attacks, the Beacon is looking for submissions of stories, memories and photos from that day to feature in next week’s edition of the paper.
Though the attacks didn’t happen on Rhode Island soil, their impact was felt throughout the country. How did that day affect you?
If you remember where you were, what you were doing, and how the news made you feel, share your September 11 memories with the rest of the community.
Email your memories to kimk@rhodybeat.com, or mail them to Beacon Communications, 1944 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889. Be sure to include “September 11 Memories” in the subject line or in your letter.
The Beacon will print the stories and photos in the September 13 edition. Deadline for submissions is Monday, September 12 at noon.
