Rev. Leonard Kayondo, an ordained Catholic priest and native of Rwanda, visited Bishop Hendricken High School earlier this month to speak with the school’s freshman class. Fr. Kayondo shared his experiences of ministering in Rwanda during the nation’s civil unrest in the 1990s. To prepare for the visit, all freshmen watched the Academy Award-nominated “Hotel Rwanda” and learned more about the genocide in the African country. Fr. Kayondo is pictured here (second from left) with (from left) Hendricken Class of 2018 Vice President Matthew Gage, BHHS President John A. Jackson of Warwick, and Class of 2018 President Colton Boesch.
