Brennan’s Braces 9, Sinapi Law 4

Strong pitching by Demitri Ayers, Andrew Merryfield and Collin Lemieux gave Brennan’s their second victory of the night. A strong outing at catcher by Daniel Tanguay and two hits each for Ayers and Tyler Brunelle helped the team in cold and windy conditions.

Savage & Savage 16, Donelan’s 4

Savage & Savage scored 16 runs on 12 hits, led by Ethan Asadorian, who went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a triple. John Procaccini went 3-for-3 and Frankie Halliwell had three RBI on a bases clearing double. Zack Fraser started and pitched three scoreless innings.

VFW Post 14, Leo’s Tire 14

VFW Post 14 scored eight runs in the third inning to go up 11-1, but Leo’s put together a 12-run rally in the bottom of the fourth thanks to key RBI singles from Anthony Berry and Max Turner. Ethan Laramee gave Leo’s a 13-11 lead with an inside-the-park grand slam. Both teams scored in the final inning and the back-and-forth game ended in a 14-14 tie.

On a brisk Friday night, West Side’s VFW Post 183 knocked off Warwick National’s Savage & Savage 9-5. Max Caracuzzo pitched two scoreless innings for VFW, which took an early lead after a single by Dylan Bourret and key two-out hits by Mike Borges and Thane Denton. Savage & Savage scored one in the third, but VFW answered with five in the bottom half. Matt Zubrycki, Ethan Dillon and Joe Gambardella loaded the bases to start the inning. Mike Borges then walked to plate a run and Caracuzzo knocked in two with a double. Savage & Savage scored three runs in the fifth but Gambardella helped his team escape the inning when he caught a long fly ball on the warning track. In the sixth, Savage & Savage threatened again, but Max Brown threw a runner out at the plate and VFW finished off the win.

Leo’s Tire 11, Donelan’s 9

After falling behind 5-0, Leo’s Tire scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning on two bases-loaded walks and RBI singles from Nick Kirejczyk and Max Turner.
