Sick at heart

To the Editor:

I am a resident of the city of Warwick. I was educated in the city of Warwick and I taught in the city for the majority of my teaching career. I love living in the city, but at the moment I am saddened, sick at heart, ashamed, and outraged at the latest news about the situation involving a student, and maybe more than one, at Gorton. I don’t understand how any of the administration involved can look themselves in the mirror.

As citizens, never mind teachers, we are required by law to report abuse and this situation clearly falls into that category.

Shame on all of you!

Plus how can other "professional" teachers work with such a person. I know there is honor among thieves, but scum need to be tossed out.

Yes. How can the "administration involved look themselves in the mirror?" I suppose the same way the Principal, Teachers and Staff at Gorton looked at "themselves in the mirror" each day.

"Incidents" such as these have occurred in the past at Warwick Schools. It's a case of where administrators want to "keep it in house" or "keep everything in their own world". Why should anyone be surprised?

Incidents like this are covered up because the administrators don't want their kneecaps broken by a bunch of thugs sent over from the teacher's union.
