Sinapi Law wins two more, pushes streak to five

Sinapi Law won for fourth time in a row beating out Sheridan Electric 2-1. Tyler Parks pitched a one-hit masterpiece, striking out 14 while walking only one. Connor Fallon hit his first home run of the year. Matthew Henry, Sothea Ang Minh and Darius Frey had hits for Sinapi. The winning run was scored on a delayed steal of home by Ang Minh.

Jake Randall and Nathan Miller combined for a two-hit, tough luck loss. Randall and Jacob Paul got the only hits against Parks.

Sinapi Law 9, VFW

Post 8

Sinapi won its fifth straight with a 9-8 win over VFW Post. Connor Fallon pitched five strong innings and Matthew Henry came in to close out the game in the sixth with bases loaded. Fallon also had a three-run home run. Darius Frey caught and threw out one runner and flipped to Matt Henry for the game’s last out. Richard Cole, Devin Destefano and Sebastion Gluschenko played strong defense.

Brennan’s Braces 3, Donelan’s 2

Andrew Merryfield and Tyler Brunelle pitched for Brennan’s, and the defense was outstanding by both teams

Joe Melucci, playing third base, had two outstanding plays. Donelans’ pitching kept Brennan’s off-balance all night. Hits in the fifth inning by Freddie Jeronimo, Jameson Tanguay and Daniel Tanguay plated two runs to give Brennan’s the lead. In the top of the sixth, Donelan’s scored a run before Brennan’s defense closed the game. Donelan’s got solid pitching from Jalen Dennis and Colin Driscoll. Matt Lynch had two hits and an RBI.

Savage & Savage 9,

Leo Tire 6

Savage & Savage defeated Leo Tire in a back-and-forth battle. Both teams did all their scoring in the first, second and fifth innings. Pitchers Zack Fraser, Nick Carparelli and Aidan Sullivan combined for 10 strikeouts. Brian Famiglietti went 2-for-2 with a triple and a double. John Procaccini went 2-for-2 and doubles by Jack Hornstein and Dylan Palumbo helped put the game away. Jared Reminder gave Leo the lead in the first with a sacrifice fly to score Ethan Laramee. Laramee added a two-run single in the second. In the fifth, Gary Dombeck and Collin Murphy had RBI singles.

Langevin’s 7,

Savage & Savage 5

In a well-played inter-league battle, Warwick West Side’s Langevin’s Reps edged Warwick National’s Savage & Savage 7-5. Aaron Rastella pitched five strong innings and had two hits and an RBI to lead Langevin’s. Cullen McGrew hit a two-run home run and Sean Gallagher had a triple to drive in two runs.

Dylan Palumbo pitched three strong innings with seven strikeouts and one earned run. Nick Carparelli and Ethan Asadorian both went 2-for-3. Aidan Sullivan and Zack Fraser both hit doubles and Stephen O’Neil hit a triple for Savage & Savage.

Langevin’s 11,

Coastway 4

Langevin’s players combined for 13 hits which resulted in 11 runs in this inter-league battle. Eleven different Langevin players had hits in the game. Cullen McGrew and Sean Gallagher both had triples. Bryan Denton and Kenny Rix both had two hits each. One of Rix’s hits was a home run in the fifth inning.

Will Morisett’s triple, Jeff Berard’s double and Eric Shaw’s single resulted in three runs for Coastway

Sheridan Electric 7,

Savage & Savage 4

Sheridan played a solid game Friday night, very good defense led by Will Walaska, solid pitching from Jacob Paul who pitched a complete game, and timely offense. Jake Randall was 2-for-3 and Paul was 2-for-3 with a triple and double. Cameron Armenti, Madison Jackson, and Nathan Miller all had RBI’s. The play of the game came when Savage’s Aiden Sullivan made a diving catch in the third to take away extra bases and then doubled up a runner at second base. Also for Savage, Stephen O’Neil went 2-for-2 with two doubles and Frankie Holliwell went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Starting pitcher Nick Carparelli pitched four solid innings and had two RBI.

Brennan’s Braces 16,  Leo Tire 4

Westside’s Leo’s Tire started the game with four runs in the first inning on six hits. Brennan’s answered with four of its own and blew the game open soon after. On the mound for Brennan’s, Demitri Ayers settled down and completed the game by giving up one more hit. Ryan Corrigan led the offense with three hits and five RBI.

Coastway Credit Union 6, DeGiulio Insurance 3

Coastway Credit Union earned its first win of the season with a 6-3 win over DeGiulio Insurance. Jeff Berard blasted a two run home run to lead Coastway to victory.

Langevin’s 14,

Donelan’s 3

Langevin’s bats come alive to defeat Donelan’s Reps 14-3. Langevin players combined for 20 hits, which resulted in 14 runs and their 11th victory of the season. Leading the way for Langevin’s were: Dom Brazeau with four hits, including a double, Aaron Rastella and Joey Izzi with three hits apiece and Chase Pariseau, Aaron Narcavage, Bryan Denton and Sean Gallagher with two hits each. Jacob Longton had three hits and Elais Fura had a double for Donelan’s.
