You loved them in the movie “Slap Shot.” Now meet them in person at the Brad Boss Ice Arena at the University of Rhode Island.
The famous Hanson Brothers are coming to Kingston to support the World War II Foundation on Saturday, January 19 at 1 p.m.
The Hanson Brothers will play in a charity hockey game alongside the URI hockey alumni team and will go against the Skating Firemen of the Fire Department in New York (FDNY). That will be followed by an autograph session and pictures with the Hanson Brothers. Then, at 4 p.m., the nationally ranked URI hockey team will take on Niagara.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids and they include the charity hockey game with the Hanson Brothers, autographs, photos and admission to the URI game.

There is also a special VIP reception with the Hanson Brothers at noon. Those tickets are $50. The event is not only to support the World War II foundation, but also to honor the heroes of the FDNY and the World War II generation.
