Slimebuck begins funding to get film off ground

Posted

In an effort to make their late son’s dream of a feature length film, Vin and Annette Cerilli, along with Tom DeNucci, a local director, have begun an Indiegogo campaign to raise money for filming.

Their son, Kyle Cerilli, was an avid horror movie fan, reviewing films, and writing scripts of his own, even as he struggled with muscular dystrophy. Kyle never let his condition hinder him and threw himself into his passion, becoming involved in every way he can. His final script, “Slimebuck,” focuses on a friendly alien discovered by two children in a plot that’s “E.T. meets Home Alone.”

Cerilli had consulted with DeNucci on the script and his dream was to see it on the big screen. After his passing in 2014 from complications from muscular dystrophy his parents as well as DeNucci at Woodhaven Productions and created a twenty minute short film of the script, with a corresponding documentary on Cerilli’s life and the making of Slimebuck to generate interest.

The hope is to raise enough money through the Indiegogo campaign to begin filming the full-length feature film, to bring Cerilli’s dream to reality.

Should the film be produced a portion of the proceeds from the eventual Slimebuck film will be donated to the official Muscular Dystrophy Association Summer Camp.

For more information or to donate to the campaign visit their Indiegogo page www.indiegogo.com/projects/slimebuck-kyle-s-last-words or the Slimebuck Facebook page. The trailer and 20-minute short film are available on Youtube and Vimeo, respectively.
