With the first real taste of spring Tuesday, blossoms popped and the adventuresome took to the water. A nursing student, Nathan Aykroyd, sailed the canoe he outfitted with outriggers for a getaway cruise in Pawtuxet Cove. He lowers the sail offshore from the Aspray Boathouse. And a flowering magnolia tree lends a splash of white to the blue skies above a house on Post Road in Pawtuxet.
