Zelano Insurance outlasted Sinapi, Formisano & Co. for a one-run victory. Third grader Colby Zelano had two singles and crossed the plate as the winning run in the bottom of the fifth and final inning. Nate McCamish smashed a two-run double to help Zelano Insurance rally in the fourth and was aided by strong defensive play late in the game. Matt Tolbert continued his streak of driving hits deep into the outfield and Ethan Martin played a strong full-game behind the plate for Sinapi, Formisano & Co. Alex Sinapi also contributed three hits for his team.
Mobile Storage 8, Maxport Transportation 7
Jack Hogan led Mobile Storage on the mound and at the plate Saturday as Mobile Storage stayed undefeated and held off Maxport Transportation 8-7. Hogan struck out seven batters, had three hits and scored two runs. Collin Russell and Will Fox combined for four hits and five runs in the victory. Andrew Fortier was the defensive star, making two brilliant catches in the field. Nick Davenport had two hits and scored three runs while Michael Murphy had two hits and scored twice for Maxport. Aiden Areson struck out the side in relief.
Mobile Storage 8, Zelano Insurance 6
Mobile Storage squeaked by Zelano Insurance 8-6 when Matt Galipeau singled in what proved to be the winning run in the top of the sixth. Jack Hogan, Collin Russell and Seb Paolello led the offense for Mobile Storage. Paolello also closed the door with a nice relief effort in the sixth. Matt Walsh had two hits and scored two runs for Zelano. RJ Russillo turned in a strong performance on the mound for Zelano, allowing only one run.
Maxport Transportation 11, Sinapi, Formisano & Co. 10
Aaron Antczak knocked in the winning run with a single in the home half of the last inning to help Maxport Transportation defeat Sinapi, Formisano & Co. 11-10. Ryan Maxwell and Aiden Areson pitched well in the victory. Alex Sinapi had two hits and scored three runs while Matt Tolbert was strong in relief for Sinapi.
