Stacie (Czapla) Howard, 89, of Warwick passed away January 26 at St. Elizabeth Home in East Greenwich. She was the beloved wife of Russell V. Howard of Warwick for 61 years.
Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Kalasanty and Adela (Cidzik) Czapla. She was a Yeoman first class in the Navy during World War II.
Besides her husband, she was the beloved mother of Diane C. Sullivan and her husband, Dr. William Sullivan of East Greenwich and Mark R. Howard and his fiancé, Christine Chabre of Warwick. Three grandchildren, Adam J. Sullivan of North Kingstown, Julie A. Boutwell and her husband, Patrick and Mark R. Howard, Jr. of Providence; and one great-grandchild, Henry O. Boutwell. She was the sister of Jennie Purkins and her late brother V. Harry Czapla.
