To the Editor:

I am writing in support of Mayor Fung. I am very disappointed in our City Council. Every day I see positive signs that Cranston is healthier than ever. Our credit rating has continued to go up during Mayor Fung’s administration. In addition, he has helmed the revitalization of Garden City and maintained all city services.

The city council’s total “no confidence” vote was a vote of no confidence in all the city departments. However, it was only one department that was out of control; we have an award winning Parks & Rec department and a great Senior Services department. In addition, Public Works, Highway, Finance and Economic Development are all healthier than ever. It is clear to me that this vote was purely a political ploy by certain city councilmen, and I’ll be looking for it as a bullet point on all their campaign cards next year.

Mayor Fung has been great for this city, and I look forward to his next term.
