State-Wide Multiple Listing Service officers announced

John Silvia of Portsmouth has been installed as the 2014 President of the State-Wide Multiple Listing Service (MLS), an online information exchange for real estate professionals. 

Silvia is the founding president of New England Prime Properties and vice-chair of the Rhode Island Real Estate Commission. A real estate practitioner since 1967, he has sat on the Boards of Directors of the Rhode Island Association of Realtors and the Newport County Board of Realtors, where he also served as president. He has won numerous awards, among them the prestigious Omega Tao Rho medal from the National Association of Realtors and the 2006 Rhode Island Realtor of the Year award from the Rhode Island Association of Realtors.  Silvia has a degree in history and secondary education from Rhode Island College and a Masters degree in Education from Brown University.

Other MLS members installed as 2014 officers include: Paul “Ryan” Antrop of Residential Properties in Cumberland as vice president/secretary; and Carl Coutu of Keller Williams Realty in Cranston, as treasurer. 

Directors of the 2014 State-Wide MLS Board of Directors include: Jane Roach of Jane Roach Real Estate in Newport; Jennifer O’Hora Lawrence of Century 21 Access America in Newport; Duane Boucher of Boucher Real Estate in Woonsocket; Jennifer Bove of Keller Williams of Newport in Middletown; Mindy Lane of Williams & Stuart Real Estate in Cranston; Manny Menezes of Exit Realty Consultants in Pawtucket; Richard Berlinsky of Equity Advisory Group in East Greenwich; Andrew Kushner of RE/MAX Professionals in East Greenwich; Susan Stamford (immediate past president) of RE/MAX Town and Country in Cumberland; Robert Martin (president of the RI Association of Realtors) of Century 21 Crossroads in Woonsocket; and Bruce Lane (president elect of the RI Association of Realtors) of Williams & Stuart Realty in Cranston.
