Hoxsie School sixth grader August Allaire is the winner of the state flag contest sponsored by the Rhode Island Art Education Association. A duplicate of the flag that now is displayed in the school’s all-purpose room will be flown at the National Art Convention to be held this month in New Orleans. March is Youth Art Month.
