For the second consecutive year, long-time Warwick resident Stephanie Van Patten, will chair the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick Great Futures Annual Campaign. Stephanie, a member of the BGCW Board of Directors, agreed to serve as Chair for a second time because she knows firsthand of the club’s positive, life-time effect on children.
“Having been a "club kid," I know how important it is to have a fun, safe place to go to after school and during the summer,” said Stephanie. The campaign goal is $114,000.
The BGCW impacts the lives of young people in vital areas such as academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles. Membership is growing at a fast pace, and the Club currently serves nearly 1,400 children annually.
“I am very excited and honored to Chair the Campaign. By rallying others to join in supporting our Great Futures Campaign, I can help ensure the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick has the means to continue providing its proven programming to all income levels.”
“I strongly encourage everyone to take a moment right now to make a tax-deductible contribution. Your gift will have a meaningful impact on a child and our community,” she said.
In addition to her BGCW Board participation, Stephanie is also Co-President of the Warwick Neck PTA and Fund Development Council Director for Junior League of Rhode Island. She has been active in Warwick schools and is on the Edgewood Sailing School Board.
