The Pilgrim boys' hockey team has only played three games so far this season, but it has already put itself out in front of most of the competition.
The Pats are undefeated at 3-0, and are one of two 3-0 teams in all of Division II, along with Cumberland. The PCD/Wheeler/St. Ray's co-op team is just behind at 2-0.
Pilgrim has scored 10 goals while allowing five in its early-season surge. Most recently, it took care of business against North Smithfield on Saturday with a 3-1 victory.
Cody Weaver and Nick McGuirl have been setting the pace offensively, as they each have three goals so far. Susie Cavanagh has added two goals as well.
In net, Ian Giuttari has allowed just two goals in 90 minutes of play, and has made 35 saves. Devon Gamba has also played goalie, allowing three goals in 45 minutes of work.
As a team, the Pats have also done well on the penalty kill, as they have not allowed a single power play goal yet this season.
Gonig forward, however, it's going to get a lot harder for Pilgrim. On Friday, it will take on fellow unbeaten, Cumberland, and then will take on Toll Gate again on Saturday.
