Super Dog Adoption Day is Nov. 1 in Matunuck

Posted

Always Adopt, a not-for-profit organization that brings together community leaders and volunteers to host super-sized dog adoption events while providing rescue groups and shelters a forum in which to showcase their loving dogs, will host their fifth Super Dog Adoption Day event Saturday, Nov. 1 at Clark Farm in Matunuck. The corn maze and concession will be open to the public as well.

Always Adopt’s “common app” is an online tool allowing multiple rescues and shelters to mutually approve a single applicant make the process simple. This form and adoption process must be completed prior to the event in order for a new family to take their dog home that day. But potential adopters may also begin the adoption process that day by just stopping by and meeting your new friend. Always Adopt introduced the multiple-agency, one-day adoption concept, making the common app their second major contribution to the industry.

More than 750 dogs have been adopted via Always Adopt events since May 2013. Always Adopt partners with a number of qualified dog shelters and rescue agencies located in southern New England to provide as many adoptable dogs as possible and quality adopters at their one-day super adoption events.

Super Dog Adoption Day is free and open to the public with the exception of each agency’s adoption donation, which directly benefits the adopting agency. Always Adopt encourages prospective adopters to visit the website to see all the dogs and puppies available for adoption and complete the adoption process if they desire to bring their newest family member home that day.

Pre-approved adopters are welcome beginning at 10 a.m. on Nov. 1; general public admission starts at 11. The event ends at 4 p.m.
