Supporting Children’s Friend

On Saturday, April 30, Panera Bread in Cranston hosted the 14th annual Children’s Friend 1K Walk and 5K run. The race raised nearly $118,000 for the non-profit Children’s Friend, which strives to support the state’s most vulnerable children. State Rep. Robert Lancia, ran the race as well. He is pictured with Panera Bread franchise owner Bajhat Shariff prior to the start of the race. Also pictured is 97-year-old James Aberhaus, who is Lancia’s most faithful participant in the monthly “Coffee with Constituents” gatherings at the Cranston Panera location. (Submitted photo)
