Susan A. Dawber

Susan A. Dawber, 92, of Post Road, died peacefully Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Kent Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Dawber.

Born in Warwick, a daughter of the late James D. and Susan A. (Monahan) Byrne, she lived in Warwick most of her life. Susan worked as a secretary for Art-Mold Products in Cranston for many years before retiring, and prior to that worked in the same capacity for the Charles Fradin Liquor Distributors for several years. Mrs. Dawber, along with her late husband Tom, were founding members of Saint Peter Church, Warwick, where she was a daily communicant, and a member of the parish Woman’s Club. She also made pads for cancer patients, and was always available to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate.

She leaves four sons, James D. Dawber, Thomas M. Dawber, Daniel J.Dawber, and Richard K. Dawber; a daughter, Dorothy A. Cummings; eight loving grandchildren; five loving great-grandchildren; her beloved friend, Sr. Mary Angelus, R.S.M.; and dearest cousin, Sr. Rose Bernadette Gallagher, M.M. She was a sister of the late Rita M. Peloso and Elizabeth S. McLaughlin.

The funeral will be held May 29, 2012 at 8:45 a.m., from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd., (Rt 117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Peter Church, 350 Fair St., Warwick. . Visiting hours Monday, 4 - 7 pm.

Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter.
