Suzanne D. Augenstein of Warwick has been named to the board of directors of Tockwotton on the Waterfront.

Augenstein was selected for the diverse array of administrative roles that she has played in the corporate, public and non-profit sectors.

“Suzanne is a detail-oriented project manager whose skill set complements our current board members,” said Executive Director Kevin McKay. “Although we’ve settled into our new building, there are many new initiatives that we are looking to accomplish here and she has the development and leadership skills to help us see them through.”

Most recently, Augenstein served as the bar administrator for the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Prior to joining that office, she was grants coordinator for U.S. Congressman James Langevin.  She has also held several roles with Textron and has worked as assistant director of the Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts. Augenstein holds an undergraduate degree from Rhode Island College and received her master’s degree in public administration from the University of Rhode Island.

The non-profit Tockwotton community (www.tockwotton.org) has been serving seniors in the Greater Providence area since 1856. Located in East Providence, Tockwotton on the Waterfront provides assisted living and memory care, rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a home-like setting on the scenic Providence River. Offering qualified and compassionate care for generations of Rhode Island seniors, Tockwotton is a five-star Medicare community.
