Sze Kin Kaan

Sze Kin Kaan, MD, 91, died April 9, 2012 at home. He was the beloved husband of Sara Christine (Melone) Kaan and the late Ann (Chang) Kaan.

A native of Hong Kong, he was certified by the American Medical Board in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and was the first Chinese physician to open a private practice in Rhode Island.

Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Curtis T., Kenneth T. and David A. Kaan; three sisters, Jenny, Stella and Winnie; four grandchildren and three-great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Cecil, Doris and Elsie.

Calling hours are April 12 from 6-8 p.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick. A private graveside service will be held in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Information and condolences available at www.carpenterjenks.com.
