(Loud, convoluted mayhem)
They’re back!
Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello are the four TMNT’s who are “destined to save the people of New York.” They live in the sewers beneath the city and come out to fight the Foot Clan led by The Shredder, a gigantic assembly of steel and sharp knives.
They are discovered by a young TV reporter who is looking for the big story but has been relegated to fluff pieces. And wouldn’t you know, April (Megan Fox) turns out to be the daughter of the man killed by a corrupt businessman (William Fichtner). Then we learn that the monstrous turtles were actually April’s little pets who were injected with a serum and, well you’ve got to see for yourself how this outrageous story unfolds.
Fox gets fired when no one believes her but gets some help from her nerdy cameraman (Will Arnett). They team up with the turtles to fight the bad guys and save New York City in one long battle scene.
The kids in the audience seemed to love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, while the adults were forced to sit through the mayhem, entertained every so often by a funny remark for one of the turtles.
Rated PG-13, with violence.
