To the Editor:
I would like to thank some people who went out of their way to help us when we were involved in a traffic accident on Saturday, July 28. My husband and I left PetSmart after showing two kittens from the local animal shelter. On our way down Route 2 the accident occurred.
Thank you to the gentleman who got me out of my car, which was filled with a noxious odor, apparently from the air bags. I wanted out but was unable to open the door. This man forced open the door and helped me out. I was having great difficulty breathing and speaking, but this same man managed to understand my gasping words about having kittens in the car that needed to be taken out. From nowhere, a woman appeared who sat me down on the ground and tried to calm me. She managed to understand me enough to get someone to bring the kittens back to the shelter. Thank you to that woman who clearly went out of her way to deliver those kittens back safely. Thank you to the man who worked at T Mobile; he just happened to be an EMT and he looked after my husband, who could not get out of the car. Lastly, but most important, thank you Warwick Fire and Rescue people for helping me and my husband get treatment.
I wish I knew the names of all these people so I could send them a personal thank you, but short of that I hope they read the Beacon and know that their help that day was greatly appreciated and meant the world to me and my husband.
