“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” was at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

City Nights Dinner Theatre presented “Social Security” in their old home in Pawtucket.

Wes’s Rib House in Olneyville sold their combination plate of two ribs, pulled pork, hot sauce, corn bread and beans for $7.95.

The Shrine Club in Cranston had an all-you-can-eat Sunday Brunch for $5.95.

Patricia’s Family Restaurant on Warwick Ave. had all-you-can-eat BBQ chicken and ribs with french fries and beans every Tuesday and Wednesday for $7.95

Brad Pitt starred as the insane son of a scientist (Christopher Plummer) in the violent, exciting “12 Monkeys,” set in 2035. Nicholas Cage starred in “Leaving Las Vegas.”

Cranston’s Park Cinema was showing “Casino” with Robert De Niro, “Goldeneye,” with Pierce Brosnan playing 007, Michael Douglas as “The American,” plus “Get Shorty,” “Tom and Huck” and “Ace Ventura.”

Sandy Martin portrayed Patsy Cline at the Greenwich Odeum.

The New York City Opera Company performed a fully staged version of Verdi’s “La Traviata” at Vets.

Scott Hamilton, Kristi Yamaguchi, Katarina Witt and Kurt Browning were the “Stars on Ice” at the Providence Civic Center.
