The Beach Boys set to surf into Cranston’s Historic Park Theatre on April 13
THE BEACH BOYS

They are one of the most famous and recognizable bands in history, and on Sunday, April 13 The Beach Boys will bring their impressive catalog of number one hits to the Park Theatre in Cranston. A limited number of tickets remain.

Since their explosive debut 50 years ago, The Beach Boys have sold albums by the tens of millions while forever changing the landscape of music by influencing nearly every pop artist who has followed. More than The Beatles, The Beach Boys found the key to unfading youth through their music. To these guys, the beach isn’t just a place where the surf comes to play, it’s where life is renewed and made whole again.

Fortunately for music lovers across the globe, The Beach Boys continue to create and perform with the same bold imagination and style that made them a household name.

Led by founding member Mike Love, The Beach Boys continue to play a busy schedule of concerts, averaging 150 shows a year that range from sun-drenched summer festivals and New Year’s celebrations to special events worldwide. The group’s latest Capitol Records release, “Sounds of Summer,” and its companion, “The Warmth of the Sun,” marks resurgence in Beach Boys interest that has again rocked the world of music.

Considered “America’s Band” and one of the 10 best groups of all time, fans won’t want to miss a chance to sing along with ageless hits like “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “California Girls,” “Good Vibrations” and “Kokomo,” to name just a few.

The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who along with Christian Love, Randell Kirsch, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill and Scott Totten, continue the iconic band’s legacy. This tour does not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.

The Beach Boys will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. Tickets are $65 and $75 and available by calling the Park Theatre Box Office at 467-7275 or online at www.ParkTheatreRI.com. The Park Theatre is located at 848 Park Avenue, Cranston. Free parking is available for all shows.

Built in 1924, the Park Theatre served as a cultural landmark for nearly eight decades until its closing in 2002. Following seven years and $10 million in renovations, the Park was reborn as a fully-equipped, state of the art facility that features concerts, comedy, theatrical performances, opera, dance recitals, children’s and family shows, and more. Through extensive renovations, the Park boasts a larger stage and 1,000 plush seats with significantly more legroom between rows than most theatres. The facility also houses the Stage Door Restaurant and Lounge, a pre-show destination that offers a unique environment for guests to enjoy dinners, appetizer offerings and cocktails. Free parking is available for all events. For more information visit www.ParkTheatreRI.com.
