The Remington House Inn: Watch for ‘open air dining’ in the days ahead

From the road, it may not look like anything more than just a beautiful, well appointed and historic Colonial home. You might never guess that this eye-catching building is actually home to one of the most popular and desirable restaurants in the region, The Remington House Inn. This cozy, family owned and operated restaurant is well known for its casual, upscale ambiance, its excellent service, and mostly, its delicious Italian-American style homemade food.

While the original Remington house was built in 1801, it was brothers Mike and Patrick Berek who brought it into the 21st century when they bought and revived it in 2000. Inspired by a grandmother who was "the best cook EVER", Mike and Patrick wanted to create a dining destination in Warwick that appealed to every palate, every preference and to every kind of customer - thus was born The Remington House Inn. Each menu item is made to please, just like their grandmother's - with lots of love and attention to flavor and presentation. "Nothing fancy", says Patrick, "just good homemade cooking."

The dining experience at The Remington House Inn is highlighted by a full service bar and an extensive menu of wholesome comfort foods. Choose from a large selection of crowd-pleasing appetizers such as stuffies and RI's favorite crispy Calamari. Their very affordable menu options include savory pasta dishes, soups, salads and hearty entrees of fresh seafood, steaks, chicken and veal - all served with potatoes and a vegetable of the day. Every meal is made to order and is served up in one of Remington House's intimate dining areas.

As soon as you enter this comfortable and immaculate restaurant, you are immediately drawn to its original fireplace, its hand-hewn beams, hardwood floors and soft lighting - all of which are authentic to the architecture of this Colonial time period. There is a tasteful blend of timelessness and modernity here that make it the perfect destination for family meals or cozy gatherings. In fact, The Remington House is available for parties, anniversaries, showers and bereavement get-togethers. With ample parking, easy access and a hospitable staff, this is an ideal place to host your next special occasion.

When the weather finally commits to staying warm, The Remington House Inn is gearing up for outdoor dining on their expansive deck. The spring air and the peaceful river passing by may lure you from the fireplace, but it will be well worth it. Come celebrate spring at The Remington House.
