The Arpin Van Lines warehouse in West Warwick is “cookie central” for the annual Girl Scout cookie distribution. According to Jerry Plante, who helped oversee operations Jan. 16, 15 trailer trucks loaded with an estimated 55,000 cases of cookies – that’s more than 660,000 boxes – started arriving last fall. Over the next several weeks, local Girl Scout districts are scheduled to make pickups and distribute the cookies, the sale of which finance camperships, recruiting and training of volunteers, outdoor programs and property maintenance. Also, a beneficiary of this year’s sale is The Katie DeCubellis Memorial Foundation. (Warwick Beacon photos)
