The spirit of giving lives on

In memory of Edgar Shuman, a Warwick resident who passed away last year and was known by his loved ones as a man who dedicated his free time volunteering for multiple causes, two members of the South Providence Neighborhood

Ministries (SPNM) were recently named as the recipients of the very first Ed Shuman Service Award. Shuman was a longtime volunteer at SPNM and winners Doris and Jim Findlay are honored to keep his legacy going. Pictured with the Findlays is SPNM Executive Director Yvette Kenner. SPNM is located at 747 Broad Street in Providence and provides services and opportunities that encourage self-worth and build a safe and just community of caring, respect and cooperation.
