To the Editor:
I am a special education teacher for the Cornerstone School in Cranston and have seven severely disabled, wonderful, beautiful students. We recently ventured to Providence to watch “A Christmas Carol” at the Trinity Rep Theatre. We were greeted with smiles and were offered help at every door. Our seats were the best in the house and we received star treatment.
If that was not enough, the show was the best I had ever seen. The actor who played Scrooge, Brian McEleney, was topnotch and kept us all at the edge of our seats. Whenever he did a cartwheel, I felt I was in New York City. The show was amazing, but the look on the faces of my students was priceless. Kudos to Jordan Butterfield, Stephen Lehrer, the staff at the theatre and Stacey Lehrer for suggesting we contact her father.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year,
Barbara Walsh Egan
