To the Editor:
The dreaded words, “I’ve got to bring the car in.” I know they have to be in the all-time most depressing statements of all time. But just imagine if you “brought the car in” and you had one of the most enjoyable experiences in your life? Sound crazy?
Danny flew over the nest this time – that could be about true anyway. Recently I had some work done there [Jay’s Auto Service, 1747 Elmwood Ave., Warwick] – Jay went through the car, suggested things, yes suggested, and one of the papers he was working on looked like he was figuring out the square root of some infinite number right out of “Good Will Hunting” to get the cheapest prices.
Every time we talked on the phone, Jay was upfront, very fair, very confident (great trait). After one conversation you would think you were talking to the Albert Einstein of automobile technology. He has an eerie, kind of innate incredible mechanical ability coupled with an awesome personality – put that all together and you have another Captain Fantastic; this time with automobiles.
The shop is very, very clean. I was looking around for a Coke machine right out of a back to the future gas station 1950s 2012 style.
The bill was completely explained. I drove the car away with a tear in my eye. The car felt brand new – what a feeling! What an experience! Don’t feel down about car repairs; bring it down to Jay’s. Like Jay says, the only shop to ever take your car to!
