The truth ‘hurts’

To the Editor:

In our modern society where “political correctness” is today’s theme, “We the People” are being harassed, vilified and even fired from our jobs for telling the truth.

As a baby boomer growing up, we were taught and told to always tell the truth, no matter what, even if it hurts. It was always the right thing to do!

In today’s world, telling the truth might offend someone or hurt some groups’ feelings. Therefore, we must be silent or lie. We wonder why our nation is in turmoil. We’re being brainwashed that “wrong is right” and “right is wrong.” Today’s youth are being programmed that it’s better to lie than fess up so it doesn’t hurt.

Wake up America, what’s wrong with telling the truth, even if it hurts?

Absolutely nothing!

“Political correctness” is ruining our great nation. It’s the truth.

Amen Brother...the only thing we can do is expose the absurdity by using their own game against them. If they 'hurt' your feelings, claim the injury and make them pay.

There is negative " leftist " slant on increasingly fatuous " political correctness. As a critical supporter of Democrat Bernie Sanders- who just shocked the complacent with his win over Hillary Clinton in Michigan-I am annoyed by Hillary's " identity politics " .The neo-Democrats are oh so exquisitely " politically correct " but do nothing for ordinary Americans on the more serious issue of unacceptable economic inequality.

I see " socialist " Bernie" as really just a refreshing return to New Deal liberalism - with its emphasis on economic justice.

After Michigan the American plutocracy will also start referring to Bernie Sanders as " that man ".

Soon the political establishments will start associating Bernie with Stalin and Republican conservative Trump with Hitler. Trump is a victim of a hypocritical smear campaign-as if right wing Republicans are now smitten by the bug of " political correctness ".

Nasty " political correctness " has made itself a menace to religious freedom. It is almost obsessively hostile toward the Catholic Church. It has nothing in common with the compassionate spirit of Pope Francis and " progressive " Catholic social philosophy.

So my point is this : there is rejection of nasty " political correctness " on the left too.
