They called it Pink-tober

To heighten breast cancer awareness and support the mothers to two classmates who have breast cancer, Warwick Neck fourth graders held a pink dress down day Friday. Funds raised went to the Gloria Gemma Foundation. There was also a mathematical component to the pink day explained teacher Dawn Manchester. Students took a count of students wearing pink, keeping track with a pink ring for every 10 that was then added to a chain for each class. In addition, many fourth graders and their families joined in the Strides Against Breast Cancer walk held Sunday at Roger Williams Park. Showing off their pink bows are the two fourth grade classes. Pink chains were displayed in the school corridor, and sporting a moustache – pink, of course – is Morgan Nathan.
