Elementary schools shine in state test
The state Department of Education released the first results of math and language tests administered to students in the fourth, eighth and tenth grades. Warwick elementary schools fared better than the city’s public high schools.

Sewer authority, superintendent comes up roses after DEM assessment
The Warwick sewer Authority received the Department of Environment Managements’ highest rating again recently, making it six years in a row of perfect 10’s for the authority, while fifteen years ago it had a poor compliance record. Joel Burke was honored with the 2001 New England Water Environment Association’s Operator of the Year Award.
