Thomas A. Trainor, 87, of Foxcroft Avenue died July 10, 2013 at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island. He was the husband of Mary V. (Morrison) Trainor.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Frank J. and Mary Jane (McGee) Trainor, he had been a Warwick resident for the past 58 years. Mr. Trainor was an inspector for the City of Warwick Water Department for 20 years before retiring in 1992. A graduate of LaSalle Academy and a World War II Navy Veteran, Mr. Trainor was also a member of the Irish Famine Committee, the Warwick Knights of Columbus 2295, Shield Post American Legion No. 43 and the LST 7/11 Club.

Besides his wife, he leaves 2 sons, Thomas A. Trainor, Jr. of Grafton, Massachusetts, and Kevin P. Trainor of Smithfield; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Michael F. Trainor and Maureen V. Andrade; brother of the late Frank Trainor, Bernard Trainor and Ann Perry.

His funeral will be Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Benedict Church, Beach Avenue, Warwick at 10:00 a.m. Calling Hours Friday 5-8 p.m.. Burial with military honors will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet.
