Thomas D. McCormick, 80, of Warwick, passed away on May 31, 2013 at Kent Hospital. He was the loving husband of Patricia J. (MacArthur) McCormick. They were married for 54 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George and Mary A. (Gaudon) McCormick. He served his country proudly during the Korean War with the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he worked in sales for the Ralph Shuster Company for fifteen years. Tom was active in the Boy Scouts for many years, and was a member of the Providence Jewelers Club. He enjoyed photography, music, fishing, and golf.

Besides his wife, he leaves his two sons, Michael T. McCormick, and his wife, Michele Matzko, of Safety Harbor, Florida, and Matthew R. McCormick, and his wife, Virginia Shea McCormick, of Cranston; five grandchildren, Megan, Lillian, Gabriel, Erica, and Ashlyn McCormick. He was the brother of the late Joseph McCormack and Mildred Rushe.

The McCormick family would like to acknowledge and extend their gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff, at the Kent Hospital, for the genuine care, kindness, and compassion that they provided.

Thomas’ funeral was held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 8:15 a.m., from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9:30 a.m., in Saint Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Committal prayers and military honors followed in the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours were on Tuesday.
