Thomas F. Ritchie, 86, of Warwick passed away April 2, 2013 at West View Health Center. He was the beloved husband of Cecelia A. (McKeever) Ritchie. They were married in 1949.

Born in West Warwick, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Alice B. (Burns) Ritchie. Mr. Ritchie was a New Car Carrier for M&G Convoy until his retirement. A skilled mechanic, he was a prior partner of Hunter & Ritchie Garage in the Pawtuxet section of Warwick. He served in The Army Air Force during World War II. A founding member of St. Kevin Parish, he served as an usher and collector. He was a life member of Leo Council Knights of Columbus, he was active in amateur and model railroading and was a member of the Train Collectors Assn. of York, Pennsylvania and the Greenwich Wireless and Steam Museum.

He was the loving father of Joseph A. Ritchie and his wife, Linda, Patricia A. Carter and her husband, James and C. Marie McInerney and her husband, Patrick. Cherished grandfather of Elissa Koskela, James A. Carter III, Jessica McInerney and Thomas McInerney. Caring brother of Dorothy Cummings of Florida, and the late Raymond Ritchie and Rita DiMasi.

His funeral will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick.
