Thomas J. Eagan, 88, of Portsmouth died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital of Fall River, Massachusetts.

Thomas was born on May 6, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Virginia (Luongo) Eagan. Mr. Eagan received his Accounting Degree from St. Johns University. He worked for several consumer product companies such as Colgate, Textron and Coco-Cola. He is also a lifelong Brooklyn and LA Dodgers fan as well as the New England Patriots. Mr. Eagan was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate. He is a former USMC who served in World War II. He volunteered and was an active member of St. Barnabas Church.

Thomas is predeceased by his first wife Jeananne (Nolan) Eagan; his daughter Nancy Regine; his son-in-law Paul Ryan; and his brother James Eagan.

He is survived by his wife, June Conley Eagan; his daughters, Susan E. Ryan of Warwick, RI, Mary E. Henrikson and her husband, Rob of New Canaan, Connecticut, Marguerite J. Fox and her husband, Kevin of Norton, MA, Elizabeth E. Krause of Warwick, RI, and three sons, Thomas J. Eagan Jr. and his wife, Missy of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Stephen N. Eagan of Sunrise, Florida, Brian A. Eagan and his wife Nancy of East Greenwich, RI, his son-in-law Robert Regine of Portsmouth, RI; his surviving brother Edward Eagan and his wife, Mildred of Babylon, NY; sixteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Family and friends were invited to visiting hours on Sunday, October 25, 2015, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840.

His funeral was held on Monday, October 26, 2015, from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Burial was in St. Columba Cemetery, Browns Lane, Middletown, RI.
