Thomas J. Meegan, 66, died peacefully at home with his wife and daughter at his side, Friday, January 9, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Janice A. (McGoldrick) Meegan.
Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, a son of the late J. Joseph and Theresa A. (McDonald) Meegan, he had been a resident of Warwick since 1984. Mr. Meegan was employed as a machinist for 30 years and worked for Orion Research and for Accu-Rounds, both in Massachusetts. He also worked as a wedding photographer for over 20 years. He served as a Army MP during the Vietnam War.
He was the proud father of Patricia E. Meegan, DPT, L,ATC. He was the brother of Theresa Freeman, of Summerville, South Carolina, Robert Meegan Lt. Col. USAF (Ret) of Rollingsford, New Hampshire, Helen Meegan of Stoneham, MA, Maryellen Meegan of Merrrimac, MA, Rose Lerer of Chelmsford, MA and the late Kathleen Goodhue and Elizabeth Martelli.
His funeral was held Wednesday, January 14, from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial with military honors in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours were Tuesday.
