Thomas R. Norman, age 85, formerly of Viscount Road, Warwick, and North Port, Florida, died on June 24, 2013 at the Kent Regency Center in Warwick. He was the husband of Elizabeth P. “Betty” (Marold) Norman.

Born in Berwick, Maine, a son of the late Walter and Rose (Thiberge) Norman, he lived in Warwick from 1949 until retiring to Northport, Fla. in 1990. He returned to Warwick three years ago. Mr. Norman was a United States Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the North Port V.F.W. A member of Teamsters Local # 251, Mr. Norman was a truck driver for Valliere Transportation for many years. He was a member of Warwick Council # 2295 Knights of Columbus, and the National Rifle Association.

Besides his wife; he is survived by four children, Elizabeth A. Marquis of Warwick, Nancy J. St. Lawrence of Chatsworth, Georgia, Michael T. Norman of Warwick, and Debra J. Perry Norman of East Greenwich; two sisters, Barbara Huppee of Dover, New Hampshire and Patricia Roberge of North Port, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Tillinghast, Scott Tillinghast, and Meredith St. Lawrence; and two great-grandchildren, Chiron and Jules Tillinghast. He was the brother of the late Bernard Norman, Theresa Baras, and Anita Buckley.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 27, at 10 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Benedict Church, 135 Beach Avenue, Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick.
